We’re a stealth mode startup company based in Washington, DC that will revolutionize the space that we are taking on and we’re looking for a Web Developer to work closely with our CTO and CEO to write elegant, high performance, code for our web based product. Our projects include working on an advanced semantic web product, web information-retrieval algorithms, complex transaction systems, and applications that enrich the user experience. Your role will be to take the lead with regard to development of product features, contribute to early product vision, and for the right person take on a leadership role or within our early stage company as we grow.

About the Role
You will work across our entire technology stack and be fully responsible for what you build, from design to implementation to deployment to maintenance. You will write elegant, high performance, code every day. The person we invite to join our effort will ideally have experience developing in one or more of the following areas: web applications, search, semantic web, or machine learning. Someone working on a masters or PhD with a focus in semantic web, search or machine learning technology who could help part time would also be ideal. The right person would also be comfortable with front end and back end development.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement features product features.
Program in Ruby on Rails using open-source technologies.
Contribute to product strategy and vision.

About You
You are an engineer who makes a recruiter want to yell BINGO!, but who never needs help from a recruiter because your peers area amazed by you.
You are close to finishing or have already finished a BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science.
You have an entrepreneurial bug that won't go away and you love the idea of building something that will improve the lives of others.
You have 3-5+ years of programming experience that does not include classroom projects.
